It is a traditional fishing village with whitewashed cottages, flowers, hillside streets, and fishing boats. There are numerous restaurants and cafes, and fabulous beach access.

The village is approximately 50 minutes from Faro Airport, 15 minutes from the Nobel International School, and there are several local and national supermarkets within a walk or short drive.
